Founded in February 2019 by owner Xavier Joerger, Xceptional has built a reputation as St. Louis’ one-stop shop for all things outdoor living.

A Little History About Us
Xceptional Hardscapes was founded in February 2019 by our owner, Xavier Joerger, whose passion for landscaping has been evident throughout his life. Xavier has always worked in the industry and got his start as a laborer working in the field. His hard work ethic and dedication made him create a family-oriented business that values the entire team.
At the urging of his family and friends, Xavier went out on his own and started Xceptional Hardscapes. He purchased trucks and high-quality equipment for a job done right and built up the business by hiring the perfect team. His background in landscape design aids him in mocking up 3-D designs for customers, which is one of our company’s hallmark traits.
Xceptional Hardscapes takes pride in everything we do and stands behind the quality of our work. We know every project will have its own set of challenges and road bumps, but we tackle them with a knowledgeable approach and strong work ethic. We believe in punctuality, ongoing communication, cleaning up at the end of a workday and treating everyone we encounter with respect.

Our Process: From Design to Execution
Xceptional Hardscapes has a detailed approach to every project — however big or small — we take on. A member of our team completes a comprehensive on-site survey of your property and consults with you about your landscape. We won’t try to upsell you with a pushy sales tactic, instead listening to your wants and needs.
From there, we’ll put together a 3-D design of your property so you can see what the end project will look like before a shovel touches the ground. You have the capability of making any adjustments and additions. Once we receive your approval, we get you on our schedule. Our expert hardscaping crew then gets to work making your dream yard a reality.
We communicate throughout the process and if we run into any snags, we quickly work to resolve them. Our customers’ complete satisfaction is our end objective. The Xceptional Hardscapes team is comprised of 5 talented and detail-oriented office workers and 20-plus hardscaping professionals in the field. As our business has grown throughout the years, we have added to both our office and experienced landscaping team to meet customer demand.
We believe in a family-oriented approach in how we treat our staff members and clients alike. We annually throw Christmas and Cinco de Mayo parties for our staff, with their families invited to participate in the festivities. We also have taken the team on float trips and hosted bowling parties with spouses and kids joining in on the fun.
